Hello everyon-oh jeez, what have we here?
A pair of unbannings in Modern? Bloodbraid Elf and in the infamous Jace, the Mind Sculptor? What does this all mean?

Hello friends, it’s that time of the year when updates to Banned and Restricted lists are made, and oh boy they made some changes.
Again.
People who haven’t been playing that long are used to semi-regular bannings at this point, but here are my thoughts on the whole thing.Read More »
Hello again friends!
I think it’s fair to say that most people know me as a largely positive person. I believe this to be true, occasional justifiable events notwithstanding, and aside from the occasional not-all-that justified tilt. (hey, it happens to us all)

Hello blog page. It’s been a while.
Note: This is mostly a personal post, and not particularly cheery.
In the universe of Magic: the Gathering, there have been things happening in the world at large and with me personally. I will cover them, quickly!
I know, I know. Everyone knows the score when it comes to the recent DC movies. I wasn’t even going to go see it, but I was invited. 2 for 1 tickets! I figured at least it would be like the recent Ghostbusters film in that with appropriately managed expectations, it would be fine. So, my expectations for Suicide Squad were set at ‘dumpster fire’ level. Maybe it would be so bad, it would be fun? I still found it disappointing. Spoilers ensue.
It’s time for the gripping climax of the spring-town trilogy. Let me tell you about a waterfall and spotting crimes.
It is fair to say that the announcement made over here at Wizards had a whole bunch of words in it. What does it all mean? I’m going to give you my perspective, as someone who occasionally battles in the Pro sphere, watches at home, and likes to travel to interesting places. Also, there was a Magic Online Announcement over on Tumblr. Let’s go!
I’m not going to spoil anything new in this post. I make reference to The Sixth Sense for instance, Harry Potter, Empire Stikes Back, Citizen Kane, but things nearly everyone knows. I’m steering well clear of anything remotely new, whether it’s Captain America: Civil War or… you know. The show that for a while, everyone agreed to stop spoiling.
I do want to talk about what’s happening all over the internet though. That is to say, otherwise perfectly reasonable people accidentally spoiling things. Including a disturbingly high percentage of you reading this.
